A. Ivanova. Detail of a Fresco

Below the photograph is a simple pencil inscription in Ukrainian: "Ivanova A. M. Detail of a fresco", with no indication of the place or date of execution. In our opinion, the photograph shows a fragment of a fresco created by Mykhailo Lezviiev, possibly in collaboration with Antonina Ivanova, for the Pedagogical Institute in Nalchik (Kabardino-Balkaria) in 1936 (for details see Khorunzha, H., & Maksymiv, M. In this work, there are reminiscences of the artistic practices of Mykhailo Boichuk's circle both at the level of composition and approach to the solution of stylistics (for example, the figure of a woman in Mykola Rokytskyi's painting "Apple Tree", 1923, from the collection of the National Museum of Art).
