Object description
An oval-shaped tsuba (nagamaru gata) with a wedge-shaped hole (nakago-ana) in the centre and two holes (hitsu-ana) on either side of it for kozuka and kogai. Right below, on the front side, is an applied silver relief image of Fukurokuju, the god of happiness, sitting in a boat. Above the image of Fukurokuju, there is an engraved image of a tree branch with two applied bronze chrysanthemum flowers. On the reverse side, an applied relief image of a curved staff is under the holes.
