Object description
The inscription on the back of the portrait indicates that it is the image of Baranowski shown at the age of 38. The young man has short dark hair and is depicted against the neutral background. The image is made in a planar manner typical of provincial artists. The work is characterized by a static image and excessive detailing. The painter showed the features of the man in detail, namely a clear oval face, high forehead, straight nose, almond-shaped eyes, blush on the cheeks, clear arches of the eyebrows, and a prominent chin. The colors of the painting are restrained.
