Object description
A dynamic battle scene depicting the fight between Polish Uhlans, led by Konrad Andrzejowski, and russian Cossacks took place near Piekoszow during the Polish national uprising of 1863–1864. Konrad Andrzejowski (1841–1863), a native of Kielce, initially fought as a soldier in Czachowski's unit during the January Uprising, later forming and leading his own cavalry unit.
