Object description
A waist-length portrait of a young aristocrat set against a landscape background. The young man is depicted in a slight half-turn to the right, with his gaze directed aside, past the viewer. He is dressed in the fashion of the era, wearing a light-coloured waistcoat and a dark frock coat with a high collar and large round metal buttons. A white cravat around his neck is tied in a voluminous bow.
