A bust-length portrait of an elderly man at prayer. The painting's style reveals the influence of the Rembrandt school on the work of an unknown artist of the 17th (early 18th) century. This is evident in the expressiveness of the figure, the use of chiaroscuro, and the almost monochrome palette, dominated by ochre-brown hues.
