Object description
Imam is the title of the head of a Muslim province, as well as an honorary title for a Muslim scholar and theologian who leads prayers in a mosque, or other places of prayer. He is depicted in full-length, facing left. He is dressed in a red cloth upper garment, with a white caftan underneath, and a large turban in the form of a dome on his head. On his feet are boots of yellow Morocco leather. In his hands, he holds a rosary for prayer.
